Hi,
​I am April Young

The fitness world is intimidating. The moment you step on the scales and realize that you need to lose some weight, you’re hit with this overwhelming fear of going to the gym or starting an exercise program.

I’ve experienced this myself. I didn’t start working out until a period where I gained roughly 20 lbs and couldn’t work it off on my own. I had no idea what I was doing at the gym and after several months of trying to figure out the machines, I hired a Personal Trainer. After 1 session, with my PT, I realized I had been wasting a tremendous amount of time. Now I was learning the theory behind the exercises I was doing, and the intensity at which I needed to work. 

After a few months of my new training routine, I knew I was getting stronger, but the scale wasn’t moving. Even though my trainer had spoken to me (several times) about proper nutrition, I never followed the advice. So I decided to get serious. I dedicated 3 months of my life to train consistently with intensity and eat the proper amounts of clean foods. That was a game changer! I lost the 20 lbs and saw my abs for the first time.  

These results showed me the importance of having the right diet to go with my workouts. I could work my butt off in the gym but still see no improvement if all I did was eat the wrong foods. I started to understand that good health and fitness aren’t temporary, but it’s a lifestyle you need to adopt.

Soon after, I knew exactly what I wanted to do in life. My passion for personal training had begun and I couldn’t wait to get my certification to help others get the body they always desired.

Bringing April Young Fitness to Daytona Beach

April Young Fitness came along as a result of my own success story. My fitness journey made me understand that losing weight, staying fit, healthy, and being happy is not complicated. It's the accumulation of all the little things I do consistently everyday.

The challenge isn't in the knowledge, but in the conscious effort we have to make on a daily basis to re-wire our life. We need to replace old, health-damaging habits with new, energizing and refreshing ones.

I truly believe if I could do it with the right guidance, you can do it too. All you need is to make a firm decision, choose me as your Personal Trainer/Coach, and put in the effort. I am ready to help, if you are ready to begin.
